Can you put into words what that purpose is? You and the frog have really become icons of this protest.

There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day.

What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.

It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. When they try to describe this situation as “war-torn,” it becomes much harder to take them seriously when they have to post a video saying [U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem is up on the balcony staring over the Antifa Army and it’s, like, eight journalists and five protesters and one of them is in a chicken suit.

I appreciate all the people showing love and support to me. I’m so grateful honestly. It means a lot. The ban isn’t that big of a deal for me. I think it was wrong and the explanation was bullshit. But that’s ok and I accept. Social media comes and goes. I’m grateful for all the connections I was able to make and all the people I get to be connected with off Bluesky. More importantly, the world needs more people to give a fuck. More people to give a fuck about Palestinians, more people to give a fuck about disabled folks, more people to give a fuck about our queer and trans siblings, more people to give a fuck about Black liberation. The world, and Bluesky, is full of bootlickers who will do anything to avoid doing anything to upset the status quo. These people are cowards groveling to those in power in hopes of protection. I just hope people continue to show love and care and kindness. Mutual aid is so important. Give when you can, boost when you can. We only survive this together.

SUBJECT: Reduction of Mandatory Training Requirements to Restore Mission Focus
The Department of War is committed to enabling our warfighters to focus on their core mission of fighting and winning our Nation's wars without distraction. Mandatory Department training will be directly linked to warfighting or otherwise be consolidated, reduced in frequency, or eliminated
To ensure these actions are implemented expeditiously, I direct the Military Departments
to work, in coordination with the Components listed herein, on the following actions:
• Chief Information Officer of the Department of War:
- Narrowly tailor Records Management training to Service member roles and allow flexibility in training delivery.
- Relax the mandatory frequency for Cybersecurity training.
- Automate information management systems to eliminate training requirements.
• The Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security:
- Relax the mandatory frequency for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUT)
training.
• The Assistant to the Secretary of War for Privacy, Civil Liberties, and Transparency:
- Remove Privacy Act Training from the Common Military Training (CMT) list.
• The Under Secretary of War for Personnel and Readiness:
- Eliminate mandatory frequency for Combating Trafficking in Persons refresher training after appropriate legislation is enacted.
- Consolidate mandatory training topics, as appropriate.

I also have advice. Everybody loves reading advice on the computer, so I'll share it: the best thing you can do right now is log off as hard as you can. Go outside, talk to people in real life where it's actually kind of rude to talk about the news, try to actually see the friends you usually just text message. Go for a long drive and turn the phone off while you do it. Get back into your hobbies or pick one and learn it for a while. Watch one of those studio movies that reviews called "wildly miscalculated" and you haven't seen since high school. Play an album you like but find embarrassing. Go to free community events even if they sound stupid. If you take the freeway, try the surface streets. Go to a bad diner and just order some bad coffee because even bad coffee is good coffee.
You can't help anybody when you're exhausted and keep posting one million college-educated rewordings of "I would love to be dead right now" on the computer. Walk away from the thing and try out some of those normal things you hear about and if you get bored that's wonderful because we're not supposed to get bored anymore. It turns out boredom is the Cadillac of feelings.
