Fair enough, I only catch 30 minutes before leaving the house.
Woke up today, turned on BBC #r4Today, learned that a Welsh by-election had been won by #PlaidCymru. This victory was marked by a long interview with… the chair of #Reform. Make it make sense!

Got to keep those AI data centres running!
In the latest news about the insane human race, coal use reached an all-time high in 2024 (The Guardian), while demand for gas turbines is increasing (The FT). Why? Fossil fuels are needed to power data centres for #AI.

Amazing story in The Times. Reform UK failed to pay VAT to HMRC on its sales (tickets, merchandise). About £400k in all.

Not tax avoidance. Not tax evasion. They just didn't realise when you sell stuff you have to charge VAT.
And they want to run the country?! 😂

So people broke into the Louvre and stole artwork but as long as they sell it into Sam Altman to use in AI learning they should be fine right?
My top 5 films from #LFF 2025 were:
1. Bugonia
2. The Ice Tower
3. Palestine 36
4. Honey Bunch
5. Frankenstein

Worst film was Reflection in a Dead Diamond, which I walked out of after 30 minutes, followed by another disgruntled viewer.

Apparently, zees man is on zee lookout for zis pançer.
I just saw this film at #LFF. It’s out at the end of October and I recommend it. It’s about the Arab revolt of 1936 (when Britain was running Palestine).
