As I took the train home to leave MAGFest 2026, I had the fortune to play and finish Many Nights a Whisper on my laptop, and I encourage anyone interested in thoughtful narrative-driven games to check this short gem out--it only took me about 100 minutes to complete.

Just played Many Nights a Whisper in one sitting, about 90 minutes, a wonderful little exploration of having the power to reshape reality, the limits of morality in doing so and distilling the weight of that expectation into a single moment.

I played this and it was such a nice way to start the new year. it was really beautiful

I practiced for like half an hour of real world time before the ceremony until I could walk up and make the shot first try 5x in a row. I didn't want to let any of the townspeople or my mentor down ;_;
A tall chalice, lit with fire. Over the screen, a caption indicating Mentor (title of a character in the game) is saying, "Obsessing over a mistake... or a victory... will do you no good." Mentor: Just... savor success, savor defeat... And let it melt away into the past. This caption is shown over an image of small islands as seen through trees. If you've not played it: it's a wonderful experience that v. much stays with you, and it's currently like 2 euros/dollars/pounds.

Im seeing more and more ppl play Many Nights A Whisper, please do yourself a favor if you haven’t yet.

It’s extremely high on my favorite games this year, and one of the few to leave a lump in my throat for days after I finished it
