Rice students created an interactive map exposing ICE raids across the country as they're unfolding.

Soon it will be a map of ICE raids and ICE murders.

Keep reminding Schumer and Dems.

In Santa Barbara, California, an ICE goon point-blank sprayed a woman with pepper spray while she was filming. The woman required medical attention for a potentially pierced eyeball. 1/28/26

And maybe the word "probe" here is problematic as the meaning there is to visually and chemically assess, but again not to disturb, disrupt, or outright destroy.

I would say no because the tech used in this science will provide the necessary evidence of environmental impact that will prevent leases from being granted to mine these areas. And these robots are surveying tools, not actual mining tools. cc @drandrewthaler.bsky.social

Scientist who has been to 10,919 m depth here. It is also called that because the entirety of the deep seafloor is in complete darkness, away from the sunlight at the surface that powers the PHOTOsynthesis of plants, that are a major producer of oxygen for our planet over long time scales.

Deep-sea robots hunting for "dark oxygen," large amounts of the gas from a region in the ocean that's too deep for sunlight to power photosynthesis. The team have developed a suite of instruments that they’ll use to probe the sea floor.
