I might just leave this here. Worth a watch, if you are trans affirming and want to know what GCs are moaning about.

A man might be a biological father, adoptive father, step father. All types of father. Similarly race horses, cart horses, bay horses are types of horse.

A trans woman isn’t a woman because he is male and a woman is a person of the female sex.

Like how sea horses or pommel horses aren’t horses.

Trans identifying men are a subset of men so it's up to other men to ensure their safety in men's single sex spaces. Women aren't human shields.

I wonder what peculiar interpretation of the 1992 regs we're going to see in the Darlington nurses case?

Maybe this time a judge will think the Health And Safety At Work etc Act 1974 does actually require employers to do something?

Too far fetched?

'God forbids me from calling him a woman' isn't the sort of thing I consider a good reason. But surely some people recognise it would be unwise to sack Jennifer Melle for referring to a convicted paedophile from a men's high security prison as 'mister'?

“Air pollution fell substantially as Paris restricted car traffic and made way for parks, people-streets and bike-lanes.”

Better for the climate, better for health, better for livability and quality of life.

Common sense.

Such a no-brainer, it’s remarkable that more cities HAVEN’T done the same.
Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.

Exciting road pricing news out of Denmark!

Today a new expert group for designing the future car taxation was announced, with a focus on the externalities from cars.

See the terms of reference below. I will soon follow up with a piece on why I think it actually can lead to GPS-based road pricing.

Replace VED with: T = M × £0.01 × W³ (M = annual mileage from MOT, W = gross weight in tonnes). Road damage scales with weight to the fourth power, so heavy vehicles remain subsidised - just less so. Light cars pay pennies, luxury SUVs pay thousands.

I agree with the call to policy makers.

However, this trend also supports the theory that psychiatry has massively overreached in recent decades, by pathologising the subjective experience of poverty.

Being unhappy with failure to meet your basic needs, for want of funds, is not a disorder.
“Policymakers looking to increase employment for those in the run-up to state pension age should take account of the headwind from worsening mental health for poor women.”

Amnesty argued at the Supreme Court, in the For Women Scotland case, that all protections for homosexuality under the Equality Act be rendered meaningless and gay only associations be made unlawful.
Twenty-two years ago today Section 28 was repealed.

But we're seeing history repeat itself as some in the media and in politics spread bigotry and misinformation about trans people.

There are people on this platform giving dangerous misinformation to trans people, that could land them in trouble.

It is not true that a police officer commits an offense if they tell their colleague that you are trans, and you have not been charged. It can be true, sometimes.

Perhaps Kwasi Kwarteng can help this Labour government get its shit in order?
Unless someone in the Treasury reassures the markets pretty soon, there’s every chance the UK will need to raise *more* tax for less in return. Total clusterfuck in the making, this.

Having a budget fall apart more than a week before it’s actually be delivered might be a new record.
