My employer sent out new guidance on ICE contacts. I don't think it's much, if any different than the last time they sent it out. Instructions including trying to record the entire interaction, and calling police if they enter without permission.

I work with so many families continuing to live in poverty because mom got knocked up and has only been able to move from one low wage job to the next, often when the kids get sick and she has to be out of work. So many of these kids enter foster care. So many of them die.

I was a JCO and juvenile intake officer and even if they're arrested for having a vape, the only way the kid is getting strip searched is if they have a warrant and have to be put in JDC. NO TOUCHING, and it's observed by a same gender staff who is also being monitored by another same gender staff.
