“Robots” had some great social lessons, but I think a lesser talked about one is the danger of parasocial relationships, and thinking some rich guy you never met cares about you and will lift you out of poverty.

Anyone else notice how the past five years the script on veterans has changed from “those who served” to “those who gave their lives”.
I think it’s because if you talk to living Veterans they clearly disagree with the direction our government has been going for decades.

I've noticed some people on Twitter are prone to arguing with Grok, posing leading questions to get Grok to confirm their most delusional, conspiratorial beliefs. I worry that this behavior + AI's politeness bias + lack of mental health services + widespread guns will lead to bad things.
First the terrorist tried to enter campus in a car filled with guns. When he wasn’t allowed past the gates, he started firing from a CVS drugstore across the street. From a semi-automatic weapon, 500 shots is a lot. He was at it for a long time.

I'm actually very okay with robots reducing the man hours needed to do a job if this means workers get the same pay for less work.
I'm all for automation if it means workers reap those benefits too.
But that's not how this has ever worked. At least not without unions.

Quit Amazon and all of their affiliates now! They have already started replacing workers with robots. Their goal is to replace half a million workers with robots. Their reason? Humans are inefficient and cutting into their bottom line. But they need humans to buy their products so stop buying them!
