I have no surprise left to summon that Donald Trump felt no moral restraint when posting vile, juvenile and hideously racist imagery of President Obama and his wife.

I am, however, astonished that it remains up to this moment and the White House is even attempting to defend itself.

It's simple really, when it's outrage over some obvious and quickly corrected slip from a Democrat it's genuine and must be covered on a minimum of 3 front pages, when it's outrage about the President on yet another gutter racism jag, it's fake and will never make the print edition.

Some days I truly cannot believe this is real life.
In this week's Receipts, I wrote about "Coalie," the Trump admin's anime-like new mascot for coal; and other failing efforts to revive manly sectors like mining and manufacturing. www.thebulwark.com/p/donald-tru...

I was a White House ethics lawyer.

I used to advise people not to even accept a free cup of coffee from someone who had interests before them. And staff followed those rules.

I can’t even find the words to describe the scale of Trump’s corruption here.
Foreign countries are bribing our president to sell out the American people.

Trump family businesses made $187 MILLION from this deal, and just months later he gave the UAE some of our most top-secret AI tech.

They are selling our national security to the highest bidder.

You just know Schumer and Jeffries are furiously drafting legislation that will require the Trump regime to stop arresting Americans for exercising their rights to free speech

I wonder if the ice cold reaction this is getting will discourage future A-listers' attempts to legitimize GenAI "filmmaking"

Aronofsky has skill, experience, clout and command of considerable resources. If his best effort with this tech is this...
First trailer for Darren Aranofsky's new AI animated series 'On This Day... 1776'

• Tells short narrative stories about the Revolutionary War

• Uses Gen AI tools, including tech made by Google DeepMind

• Has SAG voice actors

I can't believe in the year 2026, it is too much to ask, too bold a hope to simply: do meaningful work, be fairly compensated, be able to retire on your own terms and live out your golden years in a modest retirement.

None of this should be controversial or rare in the wealthiest nation on earth.

Couldn’t get all senators to allow a speedy vote. Schumer tells reporters Lindsey Graham is blocking it. “That’s the holdup,” Schumer tells reporters. Graham wants to keep a provision letting him sue to pocket $500,000 over J6 phone records seized.

They give up the game with "have you not learned?" The message is clear. They believe they have unfettered charter to murder citizens, full stop, and if you so much as inconvenience them by exercising your Constitutional rights (or simply existing) you are responsible for your own death.

It took me years to learn that hypocrisy doesn't really embarrass conservatives, because "values" are not really important to them.

It is always power, and who is allowed to wield it. If laws and values contradict their view of who should have power, they become irrelevant.

Dems coalescing around 5 restrictions on ICE, I'm told:

DHS required to cooperate with state probes (big)
CBP stays at border
warrants for arrests
IDs, bodycams
ICE out of churches, schools

"That package unites a lot of Dems," Sen Chris Murphy tells me on the pod:
