Everything is really scary and horrible, and on the utter flipside, we made these really adorable valentines.
The dissonance of seeing horror, then posting "hey buy some cute valentines" is making me feel loopy.

It IS exhausting. It doesn't help we can't trust soc med platforms anymore. I think Patreon is worth you refreshing your involvement since you have an established audience. I have a few people I pay to sub to on Patreon, and I love it whenever I have an update from them in my inbox.

One of the tattoo artists I follow on IG posted this protists sleeve this morning. I love knowing that there are so many scientists out there who have decided to permanently ink the things they love and study into their skin.

Yeah, this is why I was thinking doing it from my website/WP would be best. But I'm still considering it if access/discoverability is easier for building an audience.

Iโve got a WP website now, and can do the blog posts to subscribers thing, but Iโd love something w super easy templates. Iโve seen folks use Beehiiv, Ghost, and Pencil Booth is another one I want to check out.

I was going to use squarespace when my site was still hosted there, but the newsletter required addtl fee and I had to use/share my mailing address to access full newsletter options, and I was not about to do that. I even looked into renting a PO Box as a work around.

Pow Wow Grounds coffee shop, which regularly becomes a community hub when Minneapolis is in need, are still in need. People doing ICE watch/rapid response are using it to organize, rest, and refuel. Often for free when people donate food and coffee, for those who can't afford to buy from the shop
