It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

What does it take to move 1000 people? Smart infrastructure supporting choices that don’t take up so much space (or produce so much emissions/pollution, cost so much public money etc).

Mobility in cities is about space.

On the 10th Anniversary of the Paris Agreement, you’re going to hear a lot about the progress we’ve made — people saying we “are” heading to 2.5 degrees heating instead of four.

I deeply regret to tell you that this is complacent misinformation.

As I have said before don't look away from this! There is *every* indication that events such as this will become more frequent and severe as we continue to heat.

What we are witnessing here has taken place with background heating of ~1.5ºC

We are firmly on track - 75% certain - to crossing 2ºC

Why is the EC using X?

Why is the EC buying adverts on X?

Why are government and public bodies in Ireland still using X?
The European Commission has lost access to its control panel for buying and tracking ads on Elon Musk’s X — after fining the social media platform €120 million for violating EU transparency rules.
X axes European Commission’s ad account after €120M EU fine
Nikita Bier, X’s head of product, accused the EU executive of trying to amplify its own social media post about the fine on X by trying “to take advantage of an exploit in our Ad Composer.”…

Trump makes it worryingly clear in his National Security Strategy: he wants to take down the EU, destroy the European Green Deal and allow unfettered EU access to US tech, oil and gas companies. This must be resisted.

Pretty obvious 'social washing' going on here..

The reality is that Ambulance services are not contingent on Amazon package delivery.

We can have defib drones etc operated by the ambulance service.
Not as a commercial afterthought.

What’s going on with drone delivery company Manna’s proposed defibrillator initiative?
Getting defibrillators fast to those experiencing cardiac arrest is central to survival rates, says Joe Galvin, co-lead for the HSE’s National Heart Programme.
