In a sign of how much of a sham HK's elections are, a District Councillor for the Shatin District has endorsed all 5 candidates fighting for the same seat in the upcoming LegCo elections, because who you vote for doesn't matter.

Serious question: how much more is spent storing these flags for the rest of the year?
After all, destroying or disposing of them would be considered as desecration of the Chinese flag, which these days is one of the most serious criminal offences apparently

Anyone know if anything's happened in Ap Lei Chau town? Just been told there are 30+ cops around, but can't find any newsflashes anywhere

In 2019, Gaw Capital and Hengli Investments paid HK$15 billion for CityPlaza Three & CityPlaza Four.
Rental income doesn’t cover its interest payments. Hengli was supposed to cover 35% of the shortfall, but hasn’t contributed a penny since September 2023

It's interesting in the USA you can call for the homeless to be murdered live on Fox News.

But encouraging mass murder bordering on Genocide doesn't warrant any action at all.

But criticize Donald Trump, oh no you are fired!

THAT ... that's what I've been trying to put into words.

In case you missed it ...
Fascists aren't interested in improving things through traditional politics. That's why they don't need sensible policies. Their only policy is: "Get rid of those who aren't like us, then everything will be perfect!" It's a cult-like promise of paradise that overrides all rational argument.

Important little tread from Febriana here on the narratives being used to undermine the protests in indonesia.
Important read for those trying to understand whats going on.
I notice there's an effort to sway public opinions about the protests and protesters since 28th. If you follow the narratives, they seem to only target the protesters, calling them violent, provoking kids to commit violent acts, then hoaxes about bu Ana (pink hijab lady) being racist

Though I only have quite vague memories (if that) of the 1975 FA Cup Final, I do remember slightly better the 1980 FA Cup final...
Age verification? The first trophy I enjoyed seeing Arsenal win as a fan was the 1979 F.A. Cup.
Age verification? I have walked inside the Kowloon walled city.

This was where I used to take visitors to HK. Wondering whether as part of bankruptcy, there's a chance someone might step in to save Metropol?
Metropol Restaurant, a dim sum trolley cart restaurant at United Centre in Admiralty that has been around for 35 years, will operate until September 27, in another sign of Hong Kong's changing tastes and economic pressures

In business for 35 years, it joins slew of eateries that have folded in recent months, after Japanese parent company announced bankruptcy in May.

So, the "patriotic" legislature already cleansed of those who might speak for ordinary HKers isn't subservient enough. No "vilification" (do they mean simply criticism) of government permitted henceforth:

Not to mention with the shutdown of the League of Social Democrats there is now not a single pro-democracy party left.
So HKSARG obviously believe the majority of HKers who voted pandem in 2019 are seen as a "tiny minority" in their newspeak
Hong Kong has 7.5 million people but in many ways, it can feel very small. And I think I'm far from alone in being just 1, 2 or 3 degrees of separation away from political prisoners, political exiles, people who have lost jobs or had businesses negatively affected by political repression, etc.
Always good to remember that when GovHK says the NSL impacts a "tiny minority" of ppl, they are deliberately measuring that impact solely in terms of the number of convictions. The actual impact is far, far wider, and they know that, because it's by design.
