It was horrendous in every respect. I vividly recall an article from GamesMaster (a UK games magazine no longer in print) circa 2009-2010 about "weird" characters from mostly Japanese games.

Western games journalism was horrendously racist in that era, it cannot be overstated just how fucking racist it was. You could tune into G4 and have a solid shot of Sessler saying some kind of orientalist shit or see it in any game magazine of the time. It was gross
This is from a *positive* review, where they still have to tell you this game would be NOTHING without the glorious West.

I manage to succeed at this simply by choosing to keep on existing. Which sounds dark, and it is, but it's the simple choices that are often the most stark.
It's been a minor life goal for a good while now to do something major every year that would make The Family Party unhappy.
Unfortunately my planned one never happened last weekend, but I did get a big tattoo of a snake which I'm pretty sure counts to upset political Christian fundamentalists.
