Just heard re: some ICE agents who raided a Chicago taqueria, then went back to the same taqueria for lunch the following week and got confused when the owner kicked them out, and I realized "jesus these doofuses really do believe we're all living in a video game where the NPCs have no memory"

I don't expect the bluesky mods to enforce their TOS against government accounts.

But they are the ones who decided to make the social media site where all the autistic people hang out.

"Say what the rules actually are, then apply them like you said you would" is a bare minimum for this crowd.

*goes to Instagram*

*gets message that I can’t give likes to posts for awhile as they are “protecting community standards” and I’m giving too many likes too soon or whatever*

*comes back to Bluesky, where I can post as many likes as I want without being mistaken for a bot*

*feels much better*

Still thinking about the first ten or fifteen minutes of "Singin' In The Rain", the whole "Dignity, Always Dignity" sequence, and how it played out like an Animaniacs episode or something
Was glad to see “Singin’ In The Rain” in full for the first time tonight, and I greatly enjoyed it. Great humor and dancing throughout, and surprisingly filled with meta-humor, especially in the beginning scenes.

Found this video yesterday of someone who took a pilgrimage to find most to all of the filming locations of “Thomas And The Magic Railroad”, including deleted scenes, and I thought it would be fun and interesting for fans of the movie. #TATMR

I'm not even sure if hypothetically if Elon Musk were to sell Twitter and everything magically went back to how it was before he bought it, that even then I would ever think of going back, but I wish I did have a full archive of everything I ever posted and every reply I ever sent from my time there

I love and admire Ben for many reasons, and one of them is how perfectly he is able to distill the pathetic-ness of the right and instill hope and solidarity in everyone else around him.

Anyway, go read his interview with the biggest Spanish newspaper here: english.elpais.com/technology/2...
Ben Collins, from ‘The Onion’: ‘The powerful have a revenge fantasy, it’s the revenge of the dorks’
The CEO of the leading US satirical website explains what to do when reality is crazy, and how he is trying to buy the website of a famous conspiracy theorist

That said, this film is fantastic and you should watch it!

But if you felt like the plot of the film version is missing something, DEFINITELY read the book!! It’s absolutely brilliant and lives up to the hype 🧪
I wish GDT’s Frankenstein took more time to really dig into the meat of the book’s plot, but the film is still beautifully shot and deliciously maudlin in a way that would have made Mary Shelley proud.

One thing that's been heavily proven to me is Bluesky is not all politics. The music, record, cd, movie, books, horror and lots more scenes are heavily alive and well here with almost zero negativity. Better engagement here than Facebook has been in years.
