It was already dead. I...had no idea this fact wasn't common knowledge.

So, pre-existing conditions. Got it. Yeah, I bet your colleagues want to run on that, Markwayne.
Markwayne Mullin on healthcare: "What the president would like to do is say, hey, if you take care of yourself -- you don't smoke, you don't dip, you're not drinking, you're not overweight, you're working out -- then you should pay less than the guy that obviously is not taking care of himself."

...so a bunch of people who didnt know two rando jags were on a company meeting were on a company meeting?

Fraud is, like, the tip of the damn iceberg here.
Founders on LinkedIn still seem to be struggling with the difference between telling people about their humble beginnings and admitting to straight up committing fraud.

My alarm on Monday, and almost always only Monday, is what I call the Bullshit Bell.

Rings, I roll over, check my phone notifications, say "well, this is bullshit" and get up.
November 24, 2025 at 5:04 PM
Twitter's cooking your brain.

I literally don't care who you are. You're dumber for being on it. I'm not even speaking as to how bad a look it is to hang out at the Nazi bar. That shit is hurting you.
If you're trying to convince your friends to spend time on Bluesky rather than X, maybe show them this. X is not "the public town square" or about "free speech." It's "just what Elon Musk wants you to see." If you see stuff he doesn't like he'll step in to make sure you don't see it for long.
If you scroll on X, you are only being shown what Elon wants you to see. If you create content on X, no one will see it unless Elon wants them to.

Then button your second-to-top, you fucking slob.
Trump's Transportation Secretary on how to improve air travel:

"People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly... We want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season, help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

Wow, he could not have made the point he was trying to make literally any dumber.
Markwayne Mullin: "Reward people for being healthy. Think about this. Healthcare is the only industry that you're not rewarded for taking care of your responsibility. If you think about homeowners insurance, if you're within 500 feet of a fire hydrant, your insurance goes down."

Y'all know that websites comply with subpoenas, right?

That's why it's called a court *order*.

And if you think they don't, yeah they do. They often don't have to tell you they've even done so.

Small pleasure- remembering you have leftovers of your favorite meal from your favorite restaurant that you had totally forgotten.

They need to learn the loyalty isn't mutual.

The feeling generated by a lack of reciprocity is *deeply* human. Literally hardwired into us.

This is the type of thing that'll make GOPers break ranks. When they realize/internalize that they're on their knees and he doesn't care if they live or die.
MTG: “.. “I am now being contacted by private security firms with warnings for my safety as a hot bed of threats against me are being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world. .. The man I supported and helped get elected.”

It's going to be modestly unpopular. The moderates are going to feel real queasy about it.

But the next Democratic admin needs to come in ready, not just to investigate, but to punish legally.

People have to go to prison. There's no argumen that nonconsenusal surgery and med abuse is LE activity.

I had a dream that was basically a vivid recall of one of the toughest fights I ever had and I woke up woth my nerves totally shot.

The brain is bullshit.

I'm not one of those "you better wear a suit to the office" type of guys.

But my ass was hanging out I'd expect some folks to have a very serious talk with me.

Kim K's fits in her new lawyer show are...not screaming verisimilitude.

I am extremely heartened that I'm seeing plenty of people with this very correct take.
i know a lot of people have valid concerns about the mods here but you simply cannot be mad that they don't allow death threats lol

Acting like this person in the screenshot did is such a massive redflag, man.

People need to rediscover some shame. Put the phone down. Go for a walk.
I sincerely have a hard time understanding this sort of parasocial antagonism. If I think someone on this website is annoying I just mute or block them and then I forget they exist

The tiny people who live in your phone aren’t real!
November 13, 2025 at 3:09 AM
I still think "but this could implicate Democrats too!" is a straw man.

I've literally never seen a single person verifiably left of center say it. It seems to be a creature of the fox news ecosystem.

Every response I've seen to "what about Bill?" has been "what about him?"

I'm a *bit* of a dog person.

Whenever somebody in my family gets a puppy, they always ask ne to come be around it for a few days. Train em a bit, mellow em out.

My parents new puppy is perhaps my, uh, most successful project ever.
November 11, 2025 at 6:27 PM
None of this seems unusual?

Or, unless I'm mistaken, even novel news? We knew the moderates were negotiating.
I’m genuinely confused reading this article what is being alleged to have happened. I assumed backchannel talks were happening with leadership’s approval, but none of what’s in the screenshots seems like Schumer dictating something that got heroically rejected by the caucus?

I...don't understand how people who have lived through the same year I am are still enthusiastically yearning for more state power, actually.

I have news for these journalists about the social media presence of most men.
James Talarico, a Texas Democrat running for U.S. Senate who has put his faith at the forefront of his campaign, follows several adult film performers, escorts and OnlyFans models on Instagram, according to an Axios review.

This. Raising politician salaries by several hundred percent would be so good for our democracy, but would be about the most toxically unpopular thing imaginable, which is a huge shame.
there is no political proposal that more divides the tiny percentage of us who live and breathe politics and literally *everyone else* than politician salaries
The Mayor of New York only makes $260k. I bet there are police that make more than that in NY with overtime.

We need to pay elected leaders more money and stop pretending it's some sort of calling. They're managing hundreds of billions of dollars in investments and millions of people's lives.
November 6, 2025 at 11:30 PM
When you see shit like this, its very hard not to conclude he ran for mayor explicitly for corrupt personal gain.

Gross. I hope the state prosecutes.

They've been sucker punching people under the assumption it was a fight.

If the opposition party actually turns around and squares up, for the first time since immediately post WW2, they'd going to go shocked Pikachu pretty quick.
Not to replace substance with message but I genuinely do not think that the GOP establishment is prepared, nor capable, of regulating itself in a world where all high profile democrats are directly staring into a camera and telling Trump to go fuck himself.

2024 was a bad year for incumbents and economic anxiety was through the roof.

Theyre the incumbents now and its worse.

The best case for them is that tonight is a reality check that far from a paradigm shift, 2024 might in fact leave them holding the bag.

Southern Democrats get shit upon by the least worthy and useful of our coalition, and that sucks, so it's important to take a minute and say:

What an accomplishment. What a *feat*.
BREAKING: Democrats just broke the GOP supermajority in the Mississippi Senate!

In a stunning victory, Democrats gained seats in court-ordered special elections and will now head to Jackson to represent and fight on behalf of their constituents.
