Nothing has undermined my faith in media reporting like the genocide in Gaza did. Shame on them forever for repeatedly using human lives (& lives lost) as some sort of unhinged rhetorical device. Seems like they have embraced the world of "alternative truths" & found it comfortable (& profitable)...

I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Nora. Nora’s husband Mohammed was killed and both her daughters Warda, 5 and Fida, 3 were injured in a bombing on the third day of the war. Since then they have been displaced in a tent with her mother and niece, and are struggling to survive.

Also, let's not forget that the links between those hate groups JKR is funding and far right are well documented, and they often engage in other right wing (anti-migrant, racist) rhetoric themselves, as once you start vilifying one minority, there's no reason why you should stop there...

Remember that when you say something like "I support the work, not the author" as a justification to consume any of the HP franchise products, your money goes straight into funding hate groups hellbent on trans erasure and you are in fact supporting the author, as the two are inseparable.

Oh yeah, I think the "heteronormative blinkers" play a huge role here: she mentions marriage a few times, and bemoans the rise in kids "born out of wedlock", which suggests to me that she's not aware or accepting of alternative family arrangements beyond marriage and traditional definitions

But seeing as she defines "couples" as "heterosexual unions"... maybe here lies a clue as to why abortion ban is not mentioned once,...

The state constantly throws foster families and families of disabled/chronically ill children under the bus: they are left to bear majority of the costs themselves, with parents being denied state help if they also work, but state care on its own being not enough to support the family...

The shamefully anti-LGBT stance of Polish govt means that queer couples struggle to set up families, and when they do, they do not have the same legal protections as hetero couples, with one parent often not being able to be a legal parent/guardian...
