This is entirely correct / back in the day I was picked to ask Kermit a question at a Thing (all the questions were scripted but askers were allowed to embellish a little) and in the moment I was absolutely talking to Kermit, who is real.

Also according to Wikipedia there was an actual vote to change the name to West Settlement in 2005 which was defeated 2388 to 219.
For those not from the region, White Settlement is named that for the reason you are certain it couldn’t be.
This race was such a massive swing blowout that Democrat Taylor Rehmet literally won a city called White Settlement
