Feeling a lot like I did in early days of the pandemic these days. It is so clear what’s coming: The people that will die because of cuts in global health, because of cuts to research, because of the concerted anti-vaccine push.
It’s clear what’s coming, but we will have to wait to count the dead.🧪

Trump going to see Les Mis in the middle of all this couldn’t be more ironic. It’s like he went to Wicked and came out saying, “Let me tell you, folks — the Wizard, he’s doing a tremendous job. Absolutely incredible. People say, ‘Mr. Trump, have you seen the Emerald City?’ “

A bill to break up UnitedHealth, CVS, Cigna and more has been introduced by a bipartisan group of U.S. senators and representatives.

The legislation would force insurers to sell their pharmacy businesses.

It aims to combat PBMs, pharma middlemen who drive up costs.

“According to The Lancet, at least 68,000 Americans die preventable deaths every year because they are denied care or can’t afford it. That’s 68,000 people—grandparents, children, and loved ones—lost because healthcare in America is treated as a commodity rather than a basic human right.”
Last year UnitedHealth fired its intake team & used AI to process claims. The AI rejected more than 90% of claims for senior citizens, resulting in several preventable deaths.

Striking: In numerous cases, Republicans or GOP-aligned industries are now admitting that mass deportations and rolling back Biden's climate agenda could prove disastrous in their parts of the country.

One of Trump’s central campaign claims was that green energy and immigration pose a massive threat to American workers. But now it seems local Republicans think otherwise.

Her case raises questions about how abortion bans are pressuring doctors to avoid standard care even in straightforward miscarriages.
