The damage being done to US science will take a generation to repair, if it is ever repaired at all,
Jay Bhattacharya and Matthew Memoli aren't bringing "gold standard science" to the #NIH, they are gutting research slowly but surely. When this time is over, they should be hauled before Congress, and shunned for the rest of their lives. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

Paul Offit was one of my Pediatrics professors in med school, and I remember him as wise, gentle, and kind. You are hearing the voice of a good man lamenting what will happen to the children he has dedicated his life to protecting.

The FDA memo claiming the COVID vaccine killed at least 10 children relies on unverified VAERS reports and ignores real pediatric COVID data. If the agency wants credibility and truly believes in “radical transparency” it must release the full evidence for independent review.

The Muppet Christmas Carol is my favorite straight adaptation (as if anything Muppets can truly be called “straight.”)

Blackadder’s Christmas Carol is my favorite version, or rather, inversion of the story.
Okay, okay. Time for some real holiday cheer.

A Christmas Carol (1984)
The classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, haunted by three ghosts before Christmas Day.
George C. Scott is still a powerful force, and makes this TV movie an all timer.
Who's seen this one? Or what's your definitive Christmas Carol?

The extent of the damage done to public health, biomedical science, and healthcare in the US in less than a year will take a generation or more to repair. This is the scale of the destruction. Let that sink in. A new president, Congress won't be enough to reverse things fully. It's that bad.
Breaking News: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he personally instructed the CDC to abandon its position that vaccines do not cause autism. The move underscores his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy — in this case, that vaccines save lives — and bend the health department to his will.

In an interview, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. cited gaps in vaccine safety research. His critics say he is ignoring a larger point: Vaccines save lives.

This is completely disgusting. Today, the CDC updated their vaccine safety page. It now says:

“The claim "vaccines do not cause autism" is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism”.

You can disagree and argue as much as you like but the point of evaluating something scientifically is that not every statement should be given equal credence because evidence matters
