Excellent news that France now seems to act against Russian shadow fleet tankers in the Mediterranean. That means Finland, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK could do the same along the St Petersburg route.
Another clear point scored by Macron! 👍🇫🇷🫡🫡

Putin rejected Trump's peace deal. Days later, he got something better: NATO at war with itself over Greenland.

This is big: the Berlin Wall coming down big.

Yesterday, America’s closest allies declared the U.S.-led global order effectively over, concluding that President Trump’s aggression toward allies was evidence of that demise. #ICYMI

Some minds are still stuck in dark ages.

Cause they got lucky (and wealthy) pitching their basement handiwork doesn’t mean they have the capacities to lead mankind. Quite the opposite, if you dig deeper...

Americans are realizing that unfettered federal power to detain and arrest is a very dangerous thing. I learned that lesson as a child when they put us into internment camps just for looking like the enemy. Don’t go further down this road.

We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition... recently, great powers have begun using economic integration as a weapon. Tariffs as leverage ... "

DJT: the enemy of America.

At least it’s the American people who end up paying 💰 for the crimes and destruction unleashed by Trump on America.
Just as everyone predicted with the exception of Donald Trump, Scott Bessent, Howard Lutnick, and Kevin Hassett. The last 3 knew they’ve been lying, not sure with Orange Caligula because he’s a moron and a liar so in his case it could be either one or both.

Nothing demonstrates the mental colonization of the European mind better than the ease with which Americans have been able to spread the myth over here that America, out of the goodness of its heart, has been "paying for Europe's protection".
The US pays for Europe's defence? No it doesn't!

Of a $968bn global defence budget, only $33bn is spent in Europe, mostly on US bases which are not NATO bases.

The actual US funding of NATO is approx $600m a year, the same as Germany.

The myth dies on contact with arithmetic.

they’re going to need to impose consequences that are felt in a personal way by the people in charge

ruining Trump’s big sports show, travel bans for the GOP (or, hell, all of congress), travel bans for rich Trump allies, sanctions on the Trump family

they feel invincible, change their minds
Honestly boycotting the World Cup would be the most effective and probably the least disruptive of all of the options available to Europe. I’m not sure how you can send teams and fans to contribute to a spectacle designed entirely to celebrate a guy trying to invade your territory.

Yes. My theory of the moment is Miller/Vance thought their view that immigrants threaten social solidarity would be widely shared. But ICE raids are driving native-born Americans to show solidarity with immigrants quite courageously. Now Miller is trying to disrupt that alliance with state violence.
Insightful point here: Even if you take Trump seriously - he does not like the optics - they rested on an assumption that communities would welcome ICE as heroes, rather than showing the type of solidarity that Trump inherently cannot understand.
Trump is privately worried about the "optics" of ICE raids and his advisers are looking for ways to soften them, Axios reports. I'm calling bullshit: The terror and violence cannot be hived off from the broader policy agenda. They are 100% intrinsic to it.
