Gov Greg Abbott (R-TX) openly criticizes ICE and distances himself from their operations in Minnesota, suggesting he things they are a spectacular failure and that the GOP needs to find someone to blame other than the people of Minnesota. www.elpasotimes.com/story/news/2...

The consistency of these incidents suggests strongly that ICE and CBP agents are being told to ignore written procedures and to fire into cars carrying US citizens with lethal effect. www.ms.now/news/federal...
Federal immigration agents keep shooting at drivers. We tracked 15 cases since July.
After each shooting, federal agencies claimed the drivers tried to ram agents with their vehicles. But the claim often falls apart under scrutiny.

I appreciate those out there protesting at great risk to their lives however i think the nation needs to grind this economy to a dead stop.
It's something everyone can do safely. No spending on ANYTHING but absolute necessities.
I understand some shut ins can not do this but very many of us can.

Needless to say that Renee Good and Alex Pretti will go down as heroes here in Minnesota and nationally, their names synonymous with sacrifice and caring for vulnerable neighbors even at the risk of your own life. And hopefully no more innocent lives are lost.

Does anyone get the feeling they unloaded ten shots to make sure Pretti could never live to tell the tale? Same with Renee Good. The first two shots were non-lethal. It was the third shot into her left temple from the side of the car that killed her, according to the autopsy.
Wow! This read-along of the NYT moment-by-moment leading to the murder of Alex Pretti should shake everyone awake. He was a Good Samaritan.

Agents fired at least ten shots in roughly five seconds. DHS and Pam Bondi claim Pretti approached them armed and intent on a “massacre.”

A number of responders were quite opposed to the idea of giving ridealongs to The Atlantic (I understand their frustration with the outlet).

But I drove these guys around for two hours and they witnessed abductions, confrontations with the public, tear-gassings.

The lesson: let the world see.
The Atlantic Magazine just dropped a tremendous story on the Minnesota Resistance. The author is a war correspondent & sees the echoes of leaderless community empowerment around the globe: www.theatlantic.com/politics/202... (supposed to be a gift link, might not work, it’s in Apple News, too.)
Welcome to the American Winter
In the frozen streets of Minneapolis, something profound is happening.

Two images taken 85 years apart on different continents, but the similarities are unmistakable.

BTW: The murderer in the picture on the right was eventually identified in 2025. Let's hope it does not take 84 years to identify the fascist on the left.

One press member offered medical assistance to the FPS agent with a “less lethal” launcher standing in front of the hotel. I asked him if he could tell us what happened to his nose (it’s visibly bloody and he’s spitting out blood).

His response: “no.”
