My songwriting friend and I have this saying…
“Sometimes the song gets there before you do.”
What we mean is that often times the writer doesn’t know what a song is really about until long after it is finished. Sometimes only in hindsight do we know what we were trying to say.

when you decide to buckle down and make a budget/see where your money is going
The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

food is tricky but i think cultures that embrace fasting over gluttony are probably more in tune with whatever this life is about
