"How did we get here?!?! Where we are defending a nominee like this, who makes songs with convicts who attack law enforcement? How did we get here?!?"

I love this time of year because people will post something super dramatic and vague like โ€œNoooooooโ€ and I canโ€™t tell if itโ€™s about football or *gestures outside window* all of this.

Let the dogs out
Turn coffee on
Open Terror app (aka this one)
Shout OH NO! (internally so as not to wake family members)
Pour coffee

What I Ate in a Year by Stanley Tucci. Itโ€™s a nice little vacation from the darkness of the news right now. He describes everything in such a lovely way and uses food as a way to introduce stories about his life. I love it!

This declaration is the Trumpiest thing Biden has ever done, in the good and bad ways. It's a clear assertion that is easily communicated to low info people. And its total disregard for normal procedure and norms confuses or angers high info people.

Occasional reminder that thereโ€™s no, โ€œitโ€™s too late, its overโ€ for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesnโ€™t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.
