We need more DEI in schools, not less.
Hate crimes in NY increased 87.5% btwn 2019 & 2023. Anti-gay male incidents rose 141% & crimes targeting transgender people increased 140%. Also increase in violent assaults. We cannot emerge from this w/o addressing bias and discrimination with young people in our schools.

RFK Jr. is indeed coming for the HPV vaccine. He has support from the religious right, so it may move fast. All genders can contract & spread it & all genders can receive the vaccine. Non-penetrative sexual contact can spread it-- so ya' know, the sex stuff young teens do. It can be given at age 9.

In 2022 I started tracking changes in how news outlets were describing trans people, and set up a bot to record every article pushed to the Google News index based on a handful of search phrases, including “biological sex” in both the US and UK. The amount in 2023 alone was absolutely staggering.
