I think some democrats should probably say forthrightly that though Hegseth among others deserves impeachment and removal, the process is broken because the republican majority has forsaken their duties to the country, and pursuing it would risk misinforming the country that acquittal = innocence.
Mark Warner, the top Dem on the Senate Intelligence Committee, says he reviewed the DOD IG's Signalgate report and Pete Hegseth either needs to be fired or resign.

Conservatives also don’t believe in the real First Amendment. Of course the student had the right to believe and say what she wants to — as the instructor correctly observed. But that’s not what they demand. They demand the “right” to have *other people be prevented from disagreeing them*.
conservatives basically want to implement the caricature of affirmative action for conservative students. acceptance without meeting qualifications, good grades and degrees without having to do the work.
