As I get older I actively squash most "the old days were better" feelings like they're intrusive thoughts, but the old internet was an objectively better place, full of actual people making things just for the joy of creation. I'm understanding now why older generations don't stfu about the 1960s.

Thought I'd check in on chatgpt and see if it had gotten any better at game history research. It hallucinated an unreleased "Wizards and Warriors IV" project for NES and when I asked what the source was it made up a tweet by...me.

The Inuyasha mustaches episode from Adult Swim's 2004 April Fools' stunt was considered potentially lost…until now!

Thanks to olimarfunk and @danmanshow.bsky.social we have a near complete rip (with a few minutes of The Big O) digitized.

A rare example of Vault Corporation's "PROLOK" copy protection scheme on a 3.5" floppy disk.

Vault used some method - probably a laser - to remove the oxide coating from one side of the mylar disk, making it impossible to write to.
