We’re at the beach for a few days and I just have to say sorry to anyone who is looking at my @inaturalist.bsky.social observations because I suspect am not a good identifier.

Also, I hope people on there aren’t too annoyed by my virtual Shells And Stuff I Found On The Beach collection 😂.

I just saw footage of those Muslim men publicly peacefully exercising their right to religion and being dragged violently away by police.

Interesting that some people have the right to do that but not others.

Really really glad so many people were filming so much of what the police did yesterday.

This is amazing.
13 years old and swam four hours in water so rough he had already abandoned his flooded kayak.

Two hours into the swim he ditched his life jacket because it was hindering him.
Saved his whole family.

What an incredible person.

I know this film was just Bezos currying favour, but I’m sure Donald thought it would actually be more popular than 50 Hoyts tickets countrywide 😂.

How embarrassing for Melania.

Fewer than 50 tickets pre-sold as Melania movie opens with a whimper
Dire box office sales surrounding the US first lady's bio-doc have made headlines, but some argue there's likely a good reason Jeff Bezos's Amazon MGM Studios has splashed so much cash on MELANIA.

That’s a story I like to tell to the little ones in the cave when I return from scavenging.

I haven’t seen any redhats recently, and we still need food and ammo. I take a selfie in the mirror while wearing the new pelt. It cost some battery, but the kids will like the photo.

Soon, we head north.

54°c.

(An industrial type area edged with grass & large trees, with small strips of garden between each business. Not entirely a concrete wasteland, but close)

It took about 15 mins of driving before it dropped to 41°c.

Australia Day is such bullshit. NSW proclamation day at best. At worst a celebration of the crimes of colonisation.

If you have to acknowledge that the day is a source of pain for many, that’s a damn good sign it’s a shit day to have as your national day.
