I am here to say the same re #Thyroid problems.
Only one hormone ‘allowed’ for Hypothyroidism and research quoted at us that is pitiful and ancient.
My plan was for a Thyroid patient seal of approval for those studies of some use to us and well designed rather than more rationing and ruined lives.
Love this so much.

Something @reecedinsdale.bsky.social can enjoy too ?

Around 26,000 of the neediest people in County Durham will have to start paying council tax next year as the county council scraps 100% rebates for people of working age.

About 2,400 others who already pay some council tax will lose part of their rebate.
Council tax shock for thousands of Durham’s poorest – thanks to Reform UK
Durham will scrap full council-tax rebates, forcing 26,000 low-income working-age residents to start paying for the first time

Saw a headline yesterday re OBR early release of budget and was benused why a cyber security expert is needed. Delaying the inevitable “they did it” and resignation by trying to claim a hack is costly plus a very silly way to behave.
Using the same file name as last budget 🤦🏼‍♀️
Wake up people.

Rachel Reeves says this Labour Governments decisions are "necessary."

Why is it always necessary to hit the living standards of the 99%?

When are we going to make the necessary decisions about extreme wealth?

I’m tired of people griping about paying a bit more tax. If this is you - find out how much health insurance would cost for you, or by how much your wages would fall if your employer paid it. Add in the costs of excess for any claims you might have made, oh yes, and the costs of any drugs you take

Nigel Farage has spent £1m taking out adverts in the papers to distract from the Nathan Gill Russian bribe scandal.

We can't let him buy himself out of this. We need an investigation into Russian influence in our politics.

I wish I was surprised. Buried in this Budget is a plan to slash the Digital Services Tax, giving a multi-billion tax cut to US tech giants and the likes of Elon Musk.

That's right, cutting taxes for the world's richest man while hiking them for millions of hard-working Brits.

Even for someone earning £33,000 it is the same as a 7.5% increase in Income Tax.

For people on the minimum wage it is worse than paying the higher 40% rate of Income Tax.

April 2022 Income Tax Threshold £12,570
April 2031 Income Tax Threshold £12,570

Should be about £16,970.

Meaning every person earning £16,970 or more is paying £1,231.86 more in tax.

Threshold freezes are a tax on the poorest.

One of the under-reported things in yesterdays' UK budget was that Rachel Reeves has confirmed that ECO4 will end in 2026 for “refocusing priorities”.

ECO4 was a classic English thing of a good idea badly implemented. It set up a delivery chain where managing agents held all the budget.

This is the power of vaccines.

The media narrative around Farage here needs to be "You're grotesque and stupid and fascistic now for not understanding with hindsight how cruel and stupid you were", not (just) "You were a protofascist dickhead as a teen".

I actually really don't think it much matters that Farage was a racist idiot at school, really. What matters is how he a) reflects on that behaviour now, and b) what he's learned and c) done in the 40 years since.

And, well... a) Badly, b) Nothing and c) Been a fascist-enabling spiv.
