My one and only product recommendation post today. I bought a Shield in January 2017, and it's been running our home Plex server ever since without complaint. It's an incredible little device.

This is the most interesting Star Wars book I've ever read. Another recommendation for fans of Andor in particular
For those who enjoy ebooks on Kindle, it seems that 'Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire' is *massively* discounted today down to $1.99 in the US and £7.99 in the UK. Which feels like a pretty good deal really.

"Your four-by-four wouldn’t last two seconds in a naval battle with a German U-boat. But Cybertruck would. And that last one is a realistic scenario for Cybertruck because our CEO said it can be used as a boat."
"This truck is a powerhouse, dude. It can handle anything. Does your work route lead through a medieval trebuchet’s firing zone? No? Well, what if you change jobs, and it does then? You’ll wish you had a Cybertruck."

This is one of my favorite trivia facts about Disney World:

Nixon's "I am not a crook" moment happened in a ballroom at the Contemporary Resort.
On this week's Disney Dish:

- The case of the missing dwarf
- Disney's luggage service expands
- What's up with table service availability?
- and Nixon's "I am not a crook" speech at the Contemporary Resort

We've been shopping for a new car. Had been talking to a Hendrick dealership, but learned today that they're providing SUVs to ICE in Charlotte.

I'm happy they decided to help us so easily take one off our list of where to buy from.

This is the most egregiously stupid and negligent product design I've ever seen. I've been slowly coming around to the idea that conversational AI can have some productive niches in society. But then I see something like this, and I'm back to zero. Burn it all down.

A longshot, but really clever - in NC, unaffiliated voters can choose to vote in either major party's primary. And there's a bunch who are unaffiliated.
Kate Barr, a lifelong Democrat, changed her party registration to run in the GOP primary against North Carolina incumbent Rep. Tim Moore.

She says it’s the only way to compete for a gerrymandered seat whose boundaries were drawn to heavily favor Republicans.
This North Carolina Democrat can’t win her district. So she’s running as a Republican.
In her crusade against gerrymandering, Kate Barr is challenging her Republican congressman in the GOP primary to make a point.

The whole premise of Movies Anywhere is you can buy from any platform, and sync across them. But now Youtube took their ball home.

MA gave me peace of mind & enabled comparison shopping, and it sucks to have that gone. I won't be buying any more digital movies.
