I actually have started writing down my favorite, trusted online recipes in a binder because I am not sure the sites will survive.

When I traveled overseas last year, I bought a paper travel guide, something that I never thought I would do again.
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

I thought I'd bought a 'Dark Chocolate Bar' in M&S. Turns out it's a 'Dark Chocolate DATE Bar'. My mouth hasn't been this disappointed since finding out that the little lemon soaps from Body Shop tasted nothing like lemon sherbets.

Our two-day conference, 'On Writing for Young People' is over for another year. We had, amazing speakers, wonderful workshops and the quality of the CHAT was off-the-scale. Thank you to everyone who made it possible. It was maybe the best one yet.
Now to lie in a darkened room for the weekend...

It's a great cosmic joke that neurodivergence both runs in families and gets diagnosed based on parent reports. I was diagnosed at 30 because a man who has eaten potatoes every day for 57 years and a woman who collects loose buttons decided I was a perfectly normal child.

A train which is 90 minutes late departing the station is being roundly cheered up by a bunch of huns celebrating a 40th with pre-lunch tequila.
You might think this is sarcasm, but it genuinely is not. They are willing the train to move with their joie de vivre and Bailey's.

Turns out, I didn't know what Jenrick looked like. But if I'd asked AI for a picture of a Deano at a Harvester on Mother's Day, that would have got me quite close.

Heard about "tailgate parties" at American sports events.
Wondered why we didn't do that in the UK, it sounds fun.
Thought, for about ten seconds, about trying to drive or park anywhere near a stadium on a game day.
Understanding dawns.
