She/her, cis, het.
Aunty Ella, it's the best job in the world.
1 husband, 5 cats, lots of niblings.
Knitter and watcher of K-dramas.
Went back to University and am working on my BA in English, and did Korean classes just for fun (안녕하세요 🫰🏻)
Pinned
I really should pin a post about how I ruthlessly block anyone I get a weird vibe from. Like, Elon Musk and Keanu Reeves have both made like 3 different accounts so they can follow me because I keep blocking them.

I'm a nobody don't follow me me unless there's a good reason to.

Reading the whole thread is an adventure.
Rudolph gets all the love, so let’s talk about the names of Santa’s other reindeer.

dasher | noun | one that dashes
dancer | noun | one that dances
prancer | noun | one that walks or moves in a spirited manner

Ok, those three are easy to understand.

Often associated with Santa, Father Christmas is actually much older than the modern incarnation, going back to the 1400s. A figure for adults that involved merriment, feasting, and gift-giving, Father Christmas was outlawed by the Puritans' brief ban on Christmas. #FolkyFriday

"Ah, welcome. Please fill in this form."

"Sure, for body options and features, right? Let's see... One of those, definitely. Hm. What's this 'Do you expect to be obeyed?' For that money, of course I do!"

"Then we cannot help you. We only do partners."

This is very good. I like to remind people that headlines in the 80s would (regularly!) talk about people who drank lattes or ate sushi as exotic, self-indulgent yuppies with obscure tastes. Media constantly made fun of “haute cuisine” meals with tiny portions because fine dining was bad.
This is actually quite brilliant, up to and including the final sentence 🔥

The Diderot Effect is when, after buying something, you feel pressured to buy more things to match it. The name comes from an 18th century essay by Denis Diderot, lamenting that a new red velvet robe led him to replace his furniture.
