mpox (previously monkeypox) has two clades. The prior outbreak (2022) was the less morbid Clade IIb. This new outbreak of Clade I is much more serious and something to keep an eye on! Get vaccinated if you’ve not already; 2 doses JYNNEOS works on both clades.

Frustrated with my job hunt. Although I’m still in the running for 2 excellent positions (that I applied for in July), the selection process has been sooooo slow. Recruiters say I’m still a top candidate, but government hiring is glacial.
