1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.

We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵

The most annoying online people are commenters who whine and stamp about modern versions of “classic” TV or film franchises “going woke” or not appropriate for children, when, in fact, most of the elements they hate were there from the beginning.

RESULT: Democrat Chasity Martinez wins a special election for a legislative seat in Louisiana, 62% to 38%.

This was a district that Trump carried by 13% last year, so a big overperformance by Dems, but the seat was already Dem-held.

Ayup. It always raises my hackles when it is touted as a grand, passionate love story.
“Wuthering Heights” is not a romance.

It is a gothic novel about vengeance, cruelty, oppression and psychological obsession. It is not a “love story”.

I will die on this hill.

Bad Bunny isn't an immigrant.

This shit is cooked through. 150 years of being a newspaper and now you're a 4chan comment thread.
The Super Bowl halftime show, with Bad Bunny showcasing Latin music before a global television audience expected to top 100 million, will illustrate the nation’s immigration divide whether or not the reggaeton star delivers an explicit political message.
The enthusiasm — and scorn — surrounding Bad Bunny’s star turn at the Super Bowl
The halftime show will illustrate the nation’s immigration divide whether or not the reggaeton star makes an explicit message about Trump’s deportation drive.

If you haven't got a chance to see the excellent short doc "Oregon's Boat" then make sure to find 35 minutes for it.

The film highlights Oregon's original river rats, guides and boat builders as they pioneered a craft to navigate big rapids.

More believable 16.😄 (Kinda sad that this particular personality was playing the same character as when he actually was a teenaged heartthrob.)
This 39-yr-old actor was supposed to be a 15-yr-old living alone after his father died. There was not enough willing suspension of disbelief to get me through it 🙃

They kept saying things like, "You can't live by yourself until you're 18, Bobby!" and I would die laughing.

Yes, my husband and I have been watching the A-Team for nostalgia, but omg. There's an episode where a 39-yr-old man is playing a 15-yr-old kid?

Is this possibly a sophisticated joke because he was in Grease? I can't tell.
