And even some who *did* legally immigrate are now being deported.
The trouble is that people, Americans, have no idea what immigration takes. "Granny did it right." Sure. She came to Ellis Island, they gave her a train ticket. It's effectively impossible to come here legally now. You can't do Ellis Island again but there has to be mutually beneficial ways.

There’s a national outbreak of equine herpesvirus after a big event in Texas. The outbreak stems is connected to the WPRA World Finals and Elite Barrel Race in Waco, Texas, which was held earlier this month. More than a thousand horses from all over the country were there.

The last several years when I roast a turkey I’ve had to beg for the smallest possible bird. Now I know why.
