Weird random meme-y shit (laudatory) like this is how it might eventually be called The Great Frog Resistance, where everyone wears a frog pin, & remembrance events in 50 years begin with reverent croaks. Just from some dude's choice of a frog for a costume. Humans are weird.

The frogs have landed in Chicago!

look I know it's stupid but there are folks on the right who you can only reach by putting shit in terms of what actually affects them. Some of them did in fact want to see liberals get beaten but also will be like "DON'T TOUCH MY MEDICAID" and need to be told the leopard is gonna eat their face.

A big thanks to @mit.edu. Their saying NO to the compact will hopefully make it easier for smaller schools to say no as well. This is a collective action problem & MIT is signalling they're choosing cooperation over self interest. Too bad @columbiauniversity.bsky.social didn't do this earlier

News footage from Portland shows a calm, tranquil city. But an AI video that Stephen Miller texted to Donald Trump shows the city as a burning hellhole. The truth may lie somewhere in between.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child. But when I became grown, I put away childish things. Then when I became a bit more grown, I rebought those same childish things from a vintage reseller and kinda don’t know how to feel about it

The radio ad break starts with “GUNS GUNS GUNS!!!” The ad break continues with a senior official in the US Government with a message of xenophobia and telling our neighbors “Leave Now”.

T. Joseph Mattingly estimates that the 2025 measles outbreak in Texas will cost $90M. Measles is expensive. It's also preventable. Vaccination increases productivity & reduces costs.

Vaccination is healthy for people & the economy.

It's difficult at times to hold both "this admin is doing lasting and serious damage to our institutions and the globe" and "this admin is full of the most bafflingly incompetent idiots you've ever seen who fall over themselves like a Vaudeville act constantly."

The duality of man is incredible.

It's wild how quickly we bounced from "is it wrong to call conservatives fascist?" to "we're officially labeling liberals as a terrorist organization."

It's extra wild because we don't have any official policy for dealing with fascists, but we have crystal clear, official policy to kill terrorists.
