You know what pisses me off is that pre-Covid Kroger always has sufficient checkouts open for the number of people. Post-Covid it is ALWAYS two open at most. Two days before Christmas? Two. Lines down into the aisles. Exhausted workers. No matter, only gotta pay two of them!

I think it’s funny that people like my mom (somewhat dialed in liberal but not online at all) had no idea who Bari Weiss was but know now and are disgusted. That new job is working out great for her!

Protip: if you like oatmeal cookies but want to make them ~festive you can just replace the raisins with dried cranberries and throw in some orange zest and you have an easy and crowd pleasing cookie.

There's really interesting social science on how white people significantly overestimate the number of people of color in a room or in a picture. A room with, like, 20% POC will be perceived as majority POC.
White men are 30% of the US and if they look around the room and see it’s less than 90% white men they think it’s affirmative action.
85% of CEOs are white men.
All but one US President has been a white man.
65% of all elected offices are held by white men.

I dunno if it’s part of the schtick or what but why write things you *know* are going to upset people if you can’t handle the result of it? I find it baffling how many people write reactionary takes and then get all offended when other people react!
