if i had caused the collapse of a relatively large bank and my kept man had "killed himself" i might do a pr blitz about how i was leaving politics and how my previous contact with the FSB was totally legal and aboveboard, too

it’s going to be a source of continuous joy, beating them again and again in every election for the rest of our lives. nobody else made my hometown their battleground, but we won’t be coerced
Two things that come to mind as I see this
1) Important to remember that Zohran Mamdani's relatively conciliatory approach to the issue of Palestine and his joy-based attitude does not actually stem any of the criticism.
2) It's doubtful that anyone in Democratic leadership comes to his defense

i find it really funny that even straight men feel it, though they don’t always recognize it. they’re disappointed in the quality of pub conversation, they post on instagram like Strong Single Women about men, about being betrayed, wondering where the exceptional people are
my best friend is a single straight woman, and man, the dating pool for someone her age (29-35) is genuinely bleak for this very reason. horrendous stuff.
I'm starting to wonder how much "the male loneliness epidemic" is just straight and bisexual women identifying low-effort, mean, and incompetent men and choosing not to date, marry, and tolerate them anymore

Like, there are often ways we CAN lean on the compiler (and optimizer) to make things that feel convenient, and are very low cost, in terms of RAM and CPU time.
But like, sometimes that extra byte or three of cost is worth the world in not carrying two extra generic params! Or awkward type-state!
