The poverty of liberal categories of analysis is glaring. A substitution of good intentions with the necessity of thinking or even knowing any particulars all the way down. They are not gonna lead us out of this mess

Does it trivialize other countries’ politics to use them to score backhanded points at the errant hegemon? Who can say

Everyone who isn’t nuts should unite around saying “anti-fascist” in full every single time the term ever needs to be used. Correct anyone who says “antifa.” Force the right to have to start saying “Anti-fascists are terr0rists.” Make the cognitive dissonance hurt.
kathbarbadoro.bsky.social
Saying someone is a "member of antifa" is like saying someone is a "member of socialism" or something. it makes zero sense. But they can't use the ideological form of the word because it makes it too clear what the ideology actually is and it would include our grandpas

Thank you @nytopinion.nytimes.com for publishing this rot. Marc Rowan has run hundreds of companies into the dust to extract profits from their failure and bankruptcies. Now he wants to do the same to American higher education. Do not believe a word this man says. 1/ www.nytimes.com/2025/10/10/o...

There’s no hack for reconciling your racist friends with the objects of their racism. You’re misunderstanding the situation

Humans are simple animals. Sometimes the elaborate psychologizing is redundant. You oppose fascism by opposing it. That’s it

It’s not “the Labour argument for controlling immigration.”

It’s just a Far Right position adopted by Labour. It’s that simple, and people need to stop being in denial of that fact.

It is not good for “race relations“ for racialised people to be talked about as a problem. It’s racism.

This is first time I’ve heard the govt making the Labour argument for controlling immigration.

Mahmood argues that controlling our borders is good for race relations, because uncontrolled immigration is feeding far right rhetoric and tensions.

Expect to hear a lot more of that.
