Pete Hegseth bears responsibility for THIS

It's a simple solution but unfortunately requires leaders with the courage and charisma to take responsibility and risk in the legislature. So far we've had a lot of trouble finding legislators with that kind of moral bravery who can also win elections.
Here’s the fix: win simple majorities, eliminate antidemocratic impediments to passing laws that help everyone, pass laws that help everyone, eliminate antidemocratic impediments to enacting transformative laws that help everyone. Congress leads, executive follows, SCOTUS defers—or gets reformed.

So the lesson is: if Republicans freak out, spend all the money they can in the last two weeks, and get good rural turnout, they can limit Democratic overperformance relative to 2024 to 16 points.

Even trying (and failing) to nullify pardons is something the people around Trump should be extremely concerned about. That's not a can of worms they want to open.
BREAKING: President Trump declared that all of former President Biden’s pardons are now “invalid.” There is no legal mechanism for presidents to revoke their predecessors’ pardons but if Trump is taken seriously, thousands could be thrown into legal chaos.

Megyn Kelley thinks she can win a presidential election in 2028, I think she doesn't understand how repulsive the electorate is going to find these quotes.
Megyn Kelly on alleged war crimes: "I really do kind of not only wanna see them killed in the water, whether they're on the boat or in the water, but I'd really like to see them suffer. I would like Trump and Hegseth to make it last a long time so they lose a limb and bleed out."

This is just for the Republican primary in March. Hand-counted ballots will be more expensive, less accurate, and far slower. Results from the R primary may not be available for days or weeks while the Dem primary results will be known a few hours after the ballots close.
(1/2) Great news! Dallas County, Texas, just went to all PAPER BALLOTS. Many others are following suit! More accurate, totally secure with watermark paper, FASTER, and only 9% of the cost. All Republican Governors should mandatorily do this. Save Money and Freedom. Lead the

Congress cannot strip or compel a naturally born citizen to renounce their citizenship
Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, just introduced a bill to ban Americans from holding dual citizenship. The bill says that to “preserve the integrity of national citizenship, allegiance to the United States must be undivided.” It’s called the Exclusive Citizenship Act.

Bradley is a scapegoat--Hegseth almost certainly gave that order, directly, intentionally, and knowingly. But Bradley still conveyed the order to his subordinates. Everyone from Bradley down to the guy who actually did the shooting is guilty of first degree murder and should be punished as such.
Bradley going to learn how far being an apolitical military professional gets you (not very)
The fall guy. Though he is probably also guilty of first degree murder.

Lol so he got a cardiac MRI? He definitely had a series of TIAs and they were doing MR angiography looking for the source of the clots.
Surprise: The White House physician says Trump's health is "excellent," nothing weird about him getting a random MRI

Fox News legal contributor Andy McCarthy knocks down Hegseth's defense:

"Neither Hegseth’s statement nor the explanation attributed to Bradley ... makes legal sense.
...
It cannot be a defense to say, as Hegseth does, that one has killed because one’s objective was 'lethal, kinetic strikes.'"
‘We Intended the Strike to Be Lethal’ Is Not a Defense | National Review
The laws of war, incorporated in the federal war crimes statute, prohibit the killing of people who have been rendered hors de combat.

“It is not acceptable to recruit a variety of students into the laboratory, subject them to a variety of stress tests and abuses, and then keep the students who thrive under abuse and get rid of the students who aren't able to thrive in the lab. That's straight-up exploitation.”

You know those labs that keep harming students, again and again? Some reflections on why it's so hard to stop this from happening and where our responsibilities lie.
