noncanonical amino acids, in vitro display, and multispecific engineering
The problem isn't where the therapeutic is developed, it's access to the US market. US is 60+% of the market for any drug because we don't cap prices. You cannot develop a profitable drug without getting access to the US market.
Like I know this is secondary to the health implications, but shares are down 6% in after hours and this regime has signaled that there is almost no pathway for development by this company in the US.

A stunning detail the ICE chief shared in this hearing that was supposed to be a brag, except it isn't: ICE has arrested 379,000 people between Jan. 2025-Jan. 2026 -- but only 8,700 were suspected gang members or known suspected terrorists.

That's 2%! www.huffpost.com/entry/latest...

VAN HOLLEN: Did you in fact make the visit to Epstein's private island?

LUTNICK: I did have lunch w/ him as I was on a boat going across on a family vacation. My wife was with me as were my 4 children and nannies. We had lunch on the island. That's true. For an hour. We left with all of my children

His short-staffed office is doing constant overtime and bouncing between contempt hearings.

I'm sorry but quitting and shutting up MAKES YOU PART OF THE PROBLEM

When your boss at DOJ asks you to commit a crime (quid pro quo) you report it to the fucking judge and Congress.
I talked to a woman who quit an AUSA job recently. She was asked by main DOJ to dismiss a Medicare fraud prosecution because the defendant was the daughter of a girlfriend of a MAGA figure.

These Maggie Hassan votes are truly bizarre. She's not up again until 2030, literally no one will remember them the next time she has to run. She's casting these votes because she wants to, not because she thinks she needs to for political expediency.
This is Durbin's 25th yea vote to confirm a Trump nominee, Hassan's 45th, Kaine's 37th, Shaheen's 52nd, and Whitehouse's 16th.
By a vote of 54-40, the #Senate confirmed the nomination of David Clay Fowlkes to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.

Dems voting in favor: Durbin, Hassan, Kaine, Shaheen, and Whitehouse.
