I feel like the only way to break the tie is "number of different cultures present", which I would guess is New York City (but I might be wrong).

I am begging certain people commenting on the Riyadh comedy fallout to think a minute about the different things "[country] did X" can mean.

If Donald Trump were paying Aziz Ansari a cool million to do a censored set in Washington, it would suck comparably!

As someone with only a moderate interest in both Spider-Man and TMNT, the Magic spoilers for the latter (so far) seem much more exciting than the former were.

In Yoshi's Island, a cave background sparkles, but only when Yoshi moves. This is achieved in an inventive way by making many 1-pixel "pinholes" in the background through which a field of stars is visible. The parallax motion shows the stars intermittently, creating sparkles.

Like a wiser entity talking through the creator entity about how see, for a rocks universe you really didn't need to make this many stable elements- see how complexity leads to complexity? These rocks have anxiety now

I love the idea of the sort of "C+ physics project" universe, in which an unknowable entity outside of time and space span up a rocks-go-in-circles project as part of a research project, and now there's life in it- life all over it, actually- and it would be an ethics nightmare to turn it off

"So, you want it should finish explodin' when the timer hits zero, or start explodin'?"

"What?! I want it all to happen at once, on zero!!!"

"Buddy, the amount of explosives you'd need for that, you're goin' up the moment you fire up this laser death trap over here."

classic mistake when designing a self destruct sequence for your secret base is making it so that the base starts spontaneously disintegrating *before* the countdown ends. buddy the whole point of the countdown is so your henchmen have time to get to their cars. why are the girders melting

They cut out before the Dominion War started, which I might make a joke about except I just skimmed the Wikipedia page about HG and feel sad as a result.

I also learned that Nichelle Nichols' brother was among them?!

In the last 10 minutes, I have thought "I should really catch up with what they've been making" about:

* Alastair Reynolds

Reese's Cups not making it to at least round 3 is baffling. Nerds are tolerable—Reese's Cups are the highest-quality example of the greatest combination in junk food history.

ad graphic showing an assortment of my halloween-iest items: my spooky witch miniprint, the "troublesome ghost" sticker set that looks suspiciously like gengar, a sticker of a witch and a cat chasing a cauldron, a little purple dragon and pegasus that have red eyes, and the legendary girl (who looks suspiciously like link) shadow variant with glowing red eyes

In Super Mario 3D World, eight colorful star particles appear every time a Ground Pound is performed. An extremely rare event of all eight of them matching in color may occur with a less than 1 in 2,000,000 chance. No known recordings of this event exist.

If he heard feedback, or his voice echoing, or saw something happening where he was, he would react—reach for his earpiece, say "hello?", look around.

It really feels like he picked the wrong fake (non)reaction. But I'll gladly hear any alternate theory. Don't love sounding like a conspiracy guy.

Stephen Miller says enough evil shit openly that you hardly need to read tea leaves.

But.

I can only read him going silent and blank-faced as "pretend the audio isn't working", except his reaction only works when you're waiting for the interview to start, not in the middle of giving an answer.
