My car's on its last legs, and I'm going Thursday to trade it in. I still owe roughly $780 on it, and I don't have much of a buffer for a down payment.

Same, to an extent. I'm not a fan of subcompacts (e.g. Fiat 500, Peugeot 205, Smart car) but I can definitely rock an econo hot hatch.

I started driving with a Chevrolet HHR (their answer to the PT Cruiser), moved to an Elantra, and now I'm driving a 1.0L I-3 Ford EcoSport.
