I think sports fandom is overstated in the media. The percentage of Portlanders that care about the team one way or another is smaller than Oram projects. What is their TV viewership? Minimal. A majority of residents have never been to a game, never will.

Typical sportswriter BS. All that matter to them is their sports. If the Blazers left tomorrow it would not change the city besides the hotel revenue when visiting teams stay here. People will still spend their entertainment $.

The property owners and lenders haven’t had to take their losses yet (for the most part.) Once everything is revalued based on reasonable rents and CAP rates we will start the cycle anew. Everyone got bailed out in COVID, so this cycle is a little longer.

Here’s a nice Saturday Surprise. I just posted 19 new volcano tissue box covers in my Etsy shop. They are 3D printed scale models made using lidar scans from federally funded USGS projects and my photogrammetry. Thanks to @opentopography.org for organizing the data!

We typically see trailer parks in that type of flood plain around here. I just hope the golf course decides to roll with it instead of trying to change the flow.
