thinking about the time, coming off an international flight, where some CBP goon saw me holding my NZ passport and yelled at me for getting in the “US Citizens and permanent residents” line. Then I showed him my green card and he *got up in my face* and berated me for getting smart with him.
Armed men pointing a gun at you and screaming at you to both stay and go... both a nightmare situation and one that could happen to literally any person doing anything

Abolish and prosecute ICE. They did a murder in broad daylight today. Imagine what they're doing in the closed facilities we're somehow not even allowed to see.

Half a century later you've got *every single media outlet* reporting as if Grok is sentient and capable of both reasoning and regret.

Every single media outlet gleefully, desperately deflecting blame for its output from the Epstein adjacent nazi freak who owns it.

In 1964, 15 years earlier, Vance Packard wrote a book all about how computers would in a capitalist society inevitably be used to create a panopticon surveilling everyone, with no one in charge being held accountable for its actions.
Fun fact: in 1964 Vance Packard wrote the book The Naked Society, in which he pretty much predicted exactly how computers and centralized and monetized big data would erode privacy rights.

1964.

IBM's "A computer can never be held accountable, therefore a computer must never make a management decision" was from 1979. That was 47 years ago.

That was before AOL, the Macarena, and Google.

Half a century ago it was considered obvious that CEO's would deflect blame from themselves onto "AI"
If you're reporting on the deepfake porn site because of Grok, please make clear in the headline that governments not acting are allowing the scaled abuse of women and children online.

Don't say Grok is doing that harm. Grok isn't doing anything. It's human men who are doing these things.

Okay I REALLY hope there's someone out there who can save these, wow.
If you have the space, means and collection: a northern Texas warehouse full of proto-Redbox VHS vending machines from the mid-1980s is being evicted. The machines are free and whatever isn't taken will imminently be scrapped.
