Two queer women with a 6 year old in school today stopped to film ICE and for their bravery ICE agents murdered one before the other’s eyes. The grief in the survivor’s voice is a knife to the gut. Destroying people and their bonds is what ICE has always done.

*standing in the corner* they don't realize that covid is the reason why flu is worse. They don't realize covid makes you vulnerable to flu and covid is why they're having problems fighting off flu, because it is an autoimmune disease
Most people are focused on the flu and as usual COVID takes a back seat. The reality is that COVID continues to kill 2,000 people every week in the U.S. alone, and that’s only during the acute phase. This doesn’t even account for PASC-related deaths.

I’m overjoyed for NYC right now. A million obstacles are assembling themselves right now, yes, but this is wonderful new start. One of the most hopeful stories in a long time, in a place where some combination of corruption, mediocrity and downright evil seemed inevitable for so long. Hooray!

So hey new virus mutation just dropped. If you have a horrible sore throat, fever that won't go down with NSAIDs, bad headaches, PLUS all the other symptoms of the flu, but are testing negative for COVID and Flu A&B on home tests?
