We're watching Flanagan's marvelized Poe anthology; not great. BBC Sherlock levels of subtlety (none). Again, I like some of the imagery and his ability to weave a complex personal tale, but the flat monologues again. The "clever" references, the "watch the background" gotchas. Just... no.
