An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

I struggle to come up with one positive example of the American military working to benefit humanity from the last 40 years.
The "human American soldier" was wounded in Korea and died in Vietnam. A lot of them join as poor kids with few options, but any empathy is trained out of them immediately.
