At what point do we think this is willful behavior? Deliberately omitting links to court decisions so less curious readers are unwittingly saddled with the writers’ (often poor or misleading) summary of the decision, in an effort to preserve how long a reader stays on the ad-laden site.
Sorry to be a broken record but it's nuts to me that the New York Times would write an entire article summarizing a court ruling and refuse to provide a link to said ruling. This is a disservice to readers. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/01/n...

This is, of course, a fascinating thread from Kate asking why Google is effectively cannibalizing its own market for both digital ads on third party properties and search ads, by effectively taking away the incentive to click through to third party sites. I have a theory as to why they're doing it.
So this ad revenue metric is indicative of such a fascinating and weird set of business decisions by Google to inexplicably kill of SEO-- and I honestly don't get how they think this is going to pay off for them in the long run.

As if us in #teenylaw don't have enough to worry about, for the second time in as many weeks our friends at the USPS mangled a big check a client mailed to me in payment of an invoice. What was left of the check came in a plastic envelope with a standard apology form. Crazy.
