I’m sorry, but if Democrats were in power, would this not be in the headlines every single day?
Average electricity cost increase since Jan:

Missouri ⬆️ 37%
Iowa ⬆️ 30%
North Dakota ⬆️ 30%
Oklahoma ⬆️ 30%
New Jersey ⬆️ 27%
Nebraska ⬆️ 25%
Montana ⬆️ 25%
Wyoming ⬆️ 23%

NATIONWIDE ⬆️ 11%

Instead of working to lower costs, Trump is boosting power-hungry AI data centers.

i've said for a while there's a contradiction between the online left's demand everything be free and that small businesses/internet artists/etc be paid well. given how poorly people reacted to borger more exponsive it was clear "fuck the artists" was always going to win out.

Terry's chocolate oranges are awesome. But why would you make one mint? they are oranges. They are shaped and pull apart like oranges.
For whatever reason, commercials are almost always shot at 24 (23.9whatever) frames per second. This one that just aired on ESPNU was shot at 60 (59.94) fps (with a 1/120 shutter), and it immediately looks so weird! even though this is the native frame rate of the broadcast!

Make the Gettysburg sequel, The Last Full Measure, except don't make it suck and be a Confederate love letter like Gods and Generals.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

Libraries are free for you to use, serve the public good, are great, support creators financially and, I cannot be clear enough about this-- ARE FREE FOR YOU TO USE-- so pirating books makes you kind of an asshole, not some Marxist revolutionary.

If the book you want isn't there *request it.*

People seem to have a video gaming view of politics, where Democrats are P1 and Republicans and voters are just NPC that you have to fight a certain way or choose the right dialogue options with to win, and if you fail, well, that just means you're bad at the game.
I saw a few posts today blaming Harris for Trump’s victory and it just pissed me off. It borders on victim blaming.

oh no, he gave less than $2 to his campaigns (plural)!
lmfao they're raising the dies of literally deceased dems to epstein, they are through the bottom of the barrel

Not mad about the economy, just the messaging. Because to Trump, PR is the only thing that matters.
RealClear journalist also says White House and cabinet officials bracing for massive personnel shakeup soon because of the economy

So what's the motivation of the "Patel is on the way out" leaker?

Do they want him out, and think by leaking this it will happen faster?

Or do they want him to stay, and hope by leaking this, Trump will keep him in hopes of having a "fake news" moment?

I'm sure the conservative justices will care, given that they, in the past, have lied about the facts in their own opinions before.
This is the same playbook the Trump administration ran in Portland, where DHS officials falsely accused local police of failing to help them (or not arriving quickly enough). Strikes me as a problem that the government lies so freely to the Supreme Court now. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/25/u...

White House is denying that Kash Patel is on the way out.
BREAKING

President Trump is considering removing Kash Patel as FBI director in the coming months, as he and his top aides have grown increasingly frustrated by the unflattering headlines Patel has recently generated.

My conspiracy theory about this is that Trump actually was part of the plan to smuggle Bolsonaro out of Brazil.
An amazing new Trump controversy, Part II of II:

- Saturday afternoon: Trump says he spoke to Bolsonaro the night before and planned to see him “in the very near future”

- Monday afternoon: The Trump White House isn’t sure whether Trump actually had the conversation he referenced two days earlier
White House hedges on Trump’s curious claim about his call with Brazil’s Bolsonaro White House hedges on Trump’s curious claim about his call with Brazil’s Jair Bolsonaro
Did the Republican president talk to Bolsonaro as the Brazilian plotted to escape? Trump said yes, but the White House isn’t so sure.

I kinda feel like the FBI interviewing the Congresspeople shows they know they don't have any sort of case but is trying to appease Trump by making it look like they are doing something.

gonna once again reiterate my position that my, or anyone else's, intrinsic characteristics (be they gender, sex, race, LGBT, whatever) are not somehow invalid because they hold different views on politics, the economy, [social] justice, etc than you do. Its very strange some of you disagree!
this kind of "throw every random social justice accusation at the wall and see what sticks" approach actually just discredits social justice. come on. let's do better

Maybe this is why I see minimal growth on social media. I don't (intentionally) say outrageous things for clicks.
I think part of the problem is that social media rewards you for maximizing your takes. So, for example "I think Will Stancil is worse to women than others" is just someone's opinion, while "Will Stancil is a misogynistic SWERF" gets engagement and *agreement* AND makes the argument about your take.

White House announcements in the age of Trump are exhausting because they could be "I have decided to bomb Venezuela" or they could be "I am pleased to announce that on my orders, Paramount will be releasing Rush Hour 4" and not even Trump knows which it's gonna be until after he's said it.
