Hello, #PortfolioDay!

I draw mostly #danmei stuff (and some #genshin)
I love sketching with pencils mostly and working with ink. Colours are my enemy >:3

Hundreds of thousands demonstrated blocking roads, ports & railway stations. In Rome, many drivers found themselves stuck in traffic — & were happy about it, saluting demonstrators & condemning Israel’s genocide against Palestinians.

Oh we were on that bullshit well into the 1800s. See St Paul’s of Liège (Belgium), which first commissioned Joseph Geefs to sculpt Lucifer

When Joe delivered it in 1842 (real fuckin sexy, etc) the Bishop was like “oh no!” so re-commissioned his brother Guillaume, who… made it sexier

The commission was originally awarded to Geefs' younger brother Joseph, who completed L'ange du mal in 1842 and installed it the following year. It generated controversy at once and was criticized for not representing a Christian ideal.

The cathedral administration declared that "this devil is too sublime." The local press intimated that the work was distracting the "pretty penitent girls" who should have been listening to the sermons.

Bishop van Bommel soon ordered the removal of L'ange du mal, and the building committee passed the commission for the pulpit sculpture to Guillaume Geefs, whose version was installed at the cathedral permanently in 1848.

The archangel is depicted with dramatic movement - wearing blue and red clothing with a winged form, wielding a sword, and standing triumphantly over a defeated demonic or serpentine figure. The sculpture shows incredible detail in the flowing drapery, musculature, and dynamic pose, characteristic of Baroque artistic style which emphasized dramatic movement and emotional intensity.

The sculpture is placed on a white museum pedestal, with track lighting illuminating it from above, and other similarly styled paintings can be seen in the background, suggesting this is part of a larger exhibition of historical religious art.

Just a heads up to anyone using Firefox:

Text reads: Mozilla, in its finite wisdom, embedded LLM bots into recent versions of Firefox for the vitally-important purpose of... naming tab groups. Now, some users are noticing CPU and power usage spikes caused by a background process called Inference.

Ugh. Reminder again for Firefox users to visit your about:config page, search for the browser.ml.chat.enabled key, and set that to false:

Text continues: If yours says true then double-click it until it reads false.
Doing that turns off the Al chatbot features in Firefox, but also the stupid new LLM tab-naming feature that's rolling out.

Go into Settings, in the search bar type "Sidebar" and select "Show Sidebar." At the bottom of the sidebar, click "Customize Sidebar" (the little gear icon) and un-check the "AI Chatbot" box.
