It's time once again for my annual #treebybike post. This is the 12/19/42 cover of @newyorker.com, so one full year after the attack on Pearl Harbor. This would be the first real Christmas alone, or without a family member, for millions in the US. Gas and tire rationing had begun earlier that year.🗃️

Lobbyist / ex Tory MP Ben Howlett has been done by an undercover sting. As ever, the most revealing thing is how very very cheap it is buy access in British media/politics — and especially how Howlett controls one of the biggest UK pol Twitter accounts!

I think this “elect three non-MPs to collectively lead Your Party is really the best possible outcome for all.

We can all pick a crank that we can back during the election of the leader, and we’ll all have one of three fratricidal factions to choose from once the winners are known.

The @kagi.com Small Web project really is a thing of wonder. I added the feed about a week ago and after initially being overwhelmed a bit with the number of posts, the stuff I have stumbled across during my twice daily catchups has contained some real gems. Try it out! kagi.com/smallweb

What this Reeves lying nonsense very obviously boils down to is immense disappointment on the right that the budget did not tank the markets. They wanted a Truss moment causing huge problems for millions of people but didn’t get one. They are patriots, apparently.

I must of missed the petition for every road junction getting tactile drop kerbs, elimination of bell mouth junctions in urban areas and better policing of the mode of transport that kills an average of 7 pedestrians and maims 104 per week...

Just as you thought food delivery companies couldn't inflict any more misery on society:

Instead of using lowly-paid gig economy contractors to deliver groceries, they're replacing humans with robots, who, in turn, force humans off the pavement into road traffic.
