All Bob. All the time.
Here is the link to my audio recording of last night's Sunshine Daydream show in Bloomington IL. All the songs--except for Attics--were Bobby tunes.
Check out Cassidy which featured an extended Jack Straw jam in the middle.

Songs that She Sang in the Shower
Deleted a post about “what’s your least favorite song” because the vibes are bad enough already.

Instead: what’s your favorite song that has a long title, say at least 6 words long?

Mine: “Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town” (Pearl Jam)

I thought maybe Bluesky would like to see this. It's the pass that my paternal uncle used to enter Nuremberg Prison where he was one of the guards for Rudolf Hess. The back has the emblem of the 26th Infantry Regiment of the First Division, famously nicknamed "the Blue Spaders."

M 79 in Lepus is another distant globular cluster may have been part of the Gaia Sausage, a small dwarf galaxy that merged with the Milky Way billions of years ago.
Gaia Sausage is also a great name for a funky jam band.

Happy book birthday to @justinkey.bsky.social , whose first novel comes out today! The Hospital at the End of the World is thrilling, but it's also a thoughtful character-based meditation on AI and medicine and the human costs. And also makes it clear that I could never have handled med school.
I should be sleeping but I HAVE A NOVEL OUT TODAY!!!

Globular cluster NGC 2419 in Lynx is known as the "intergalactic wanderer" because it orbits a long way from the center of our Milky Way. It is 300K light years from Earth and appears as a tiny granular globe in small telescopes.

Continuing with open clusters during full moon, here is the gorgeous Double Cluster (NGC 869 NGC 884) in Perseus. The two clusters are actually close to one another in space.

A brutal, and sometimes funny, review of Melania.
Thirty-five million dollars were spent marketing this! It is like someone eating spoonfuls of gold-encrusted garbage and beckoning you to watch. Look at how much gold I’ve put on it! More gold than anyone! Doesn’t it look delicious?

There seems to be a feeling that Trump has gone too far with ICE, and his loss of support with the majority of Americans will thwart him.

But he’s now arresting journalists, and “investigating” the voting process. This is the next phase of fascism, and lack of majority support will be meaningless.

When the moon is almost full, the moonlight washes out nebula and galaxies, but star clusters still look really nice.
M 103 is a small open cluster in Cassiopeia. The star in the middle is a red giant.
